HQ-Star contains Hydroxychloroquine, a quinolone that is a disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug and also an anti- malarial. It is Indicated for the suppressive treatment and treatment of acute attacks of malaria due to Plasmodium vivax, P. malariae, P. ovale, and suscep tible strains of P. falciparum but not effective against chloroquine-resistant strains of P. falciparum.
